String Curtains and Floating Boxes
MNFX created two elements for an annual SuperValu Meeting; the first, a 25ft long wire scultpure inwhich the attendees of the event added paper boxes to complete the pattern. The sculpture was executed by fabricating a top and bottom metal framework, which was finished in automotive white paint. Acrylic panels were inserted into the frames along with hardware to connect the wires. The second portion of the project was to create two 50ft diameter half circle curtain rods. This was accomplished with custom bent aluminum tubing sections that were assmbled together onsite. Custom length string curtains were created and installed to help build a smaller and more intimate space within the massive hall of the Minneapolis Convention Center.
