On this project the project brief had a couple of drawing and two minutes of dialogue.  So we and the director were challenged with filling all that time with what would appear to be a continuous track.  We created a series of cardboard mock-ups to create the proper timing of each track section.  Once we had that we built them in full scale.  The balls were two inches in diameter to help with depth of field and different weights depending on the track.  It was all shot practical without CGI and in one day.
